Day One: Depart your Phoenix hotel and head north to Sedona. Stop at Montezuma's Castle, an ancient Sinagua Indian Site. After lunch, it's off to afternoon activities in the Red Rocks of Sedona.
Day Two: Today we visit the Navajo and Hopi Indian Reservations. Spend time at the Hopi Cultural Center en route to Canyon De Chelly National Monument. A little known treasure, these magnificent canyons were home to the Anasazi for centuries.
Day Three: Take a jeep tour of Canyon De Chelly with a local Navajo guide. Learn about Navajo life and culture and explore some of the many Anasazi ruin sites on the canyon floor. Later that afternoon, visit Four Corners - where Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona all meet. Overnight in Cortez, CO.
Day Four: Visit the remarkable Anasazi cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde National Park - the only National Park devoted to archaeology. Take part in a fascinating guided hike to one of the park's many cliff dwellings.
Day Five: The setting of countless westerns, famed Monument Valley is today's destination. Experience fantastic rock formations from the back of a jeep with a local Navajo as your guide. Later, bask in a brilliant sunset over the Grand Canyon.
Day Six: Enjoy a morning of breathtaking vistas and hikes around the Grand Canyon. After lunch, the tour departs for Phoenix. The tour ends by 8:00 pm in Phoenix.
