The day begins with the story of Northern Arizona's natural and human history, narrated by your experienced guide. You will see volcanoes, The Painted Desert and the Navajo Indian Reservation as we travel to the base of the Glen Canyon Dam, where you will board your raft. Over the next 4 1/2 hours, your river guide will show you all the stunning beauty of Glen Canyon and the Colorado River.
A delicious buffet-style lunch is served midway through the trip, with time for swimming or exploring the ancient rock art of the Pueblo peoples who once lived along the river. At Lee's ferry, the historic beginning of the Grand Canyon, its back to dry land, and your journey home.
